NEW CEU: Coming Out & Coming To Church
Presenters, Anisha Cooper, LPC, CCTP and Reverend Natasha Patterson, MDiv, examine how to effectively work with clients whose religious backgrounds and/or practices may be or have been harmful to their identities, while simultaneously “doing no harm.” The presentation will also review sexual, spiritual, and the ontological barriers that make it difficult to integrate sexuality and spirituality. The presentation will also explore innovative ways to create inclusive spaces in a sociopolitical climate that dismisses and even threatens this demographic.
